Manager - IT Strategy (Group IT)

Responsibilities:(Selangor - Bandar Sunway)
- Review enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensure alignment with enterprise-wide business strategy.
- To work with respective business leaders to develop the Group IT Master Plan.
- To visualize the IT landscape over the coming 2-5 years and develop an enterprise-wide architecture supported by a portfolio of different technology.
- To cascade Group IT strategy to Business Unit ITs and IT Shared Services Center and to engage them to buy-into the concept and strategy.
- To be involved in strategic approval for key projects.
- Lead the evolution of IT as a strategic competitive advantage to the business.
- To lead the continuous improvement effort by performing industrial benchmarking, competitive analysis, and assessment initiatives to improve IT best practices.
- To assess, participate or recommend new technology initiatives in collaboration with either BU IT or IT SSC as a strategic partner.
- Drive IT operational excellence
- To understand the BU IT operations, their strengths, weaknesses and to identify opportunities to streamline the BU IT operations.
- To enhance IT processes or to design & implement best IT processes.
- To standardise IT operations across BU.
- To educate IT organization on the direction of the business and facilitate communication between BU and IT.
- Optimize vendor management
- To develop and implement strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies.
- To continuously seek optimal value in service from vendors; reviewing and monitoring service level agreements (SLA), performance (e.g. KPI metrics) and return-on-investment metrics and initiating contract modifications.
- To establish standards and procedures for SLA and performance evaluation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ ICT or IT Related Discipline.
- Min 6 to 9 years of IT work experience in multiple IT areas and 2 to 3 years of relevant enterprise-wide architecture experience in one or more specialty areas.
- Possesses relevant knowledge of Enterprise Architecture framework such as TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) or Zachman Framework will be advantageous.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Possesses good organization and multitasking skills with the passion to deliver quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
